Justin W. van Fleet, Principal, The Advance Associates, LLC

Justin W. van Fleet is an educational consultant, specializing in the development of online and offline curricula, capacity-building and training programs and evaluation methodologies for a variety of audiences.

van Fleet's recent projects include:

  • Content development for Continuous Progress, a web-based tool to help donors and advocates work together to plan, evaluate, learn from and improve their foreign policy advocacy efforts (Aspen Institute's Global Interdependence Initiative).
  • Development and facilitation of a training program for South African small-scale farmers on intellectual property rights to promote and protect indigenous knowledge resources (University of Pretoria, Project DURAS).

van Fleet currently is currently the principal consultant for The Advance Associates, LLC, based in Washington, D.C. Previously, he has held staff positions in educational capacities for NetAid (New York City), the Harvard University François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights (Boston), and the American Association for the Advance of Science's Science and Human Rights program (Washington, DC).

van Fleet holds a Master of Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in International Education Policy at the University of Maryland.
